Work independently and share your experience and knowledge in the heart of the Kalahari.
Volunteering at Kuzikus is more than work: it is an experience for life. Volunteers work in return for free board and lodging, with no programme fee. Open to applicants aged 25 and over with a good command of English, for stays of up to three months.
Volunteers support ongoing projects such as rhino monitoring, vegetation mapping and wildlife observation. They learn directly from experienced biologists and Khwe San trackers and make a real contribution to preserving biodiversity, while enjoying plenty of scope for personal development in a unique and challenging environment.
There are meaningful tasks even without directly relevant experience. If you have a particular talent or knowledge not listed here, please feel free to get in touch.

Volunteers stay in simple but attractive lodge tents at the Research Camp, around one kilometre from the lodge. Full board is provided, with breakfast at camp and other meals at the lodge, along with access to the research laboratory and Wi-Fi.
