At Kuzikus, we offer seven unique, beautiful farm-lodge accommodation units, each with its own en-suite bathroom.

The historic farm buildings have been lovingly renovated and are powered by 100 per cent renewable solar energy – so you can enjoy comfort in harmony with nature.

Comfort & Service

• 7 cosy, individually furnished accommodation units: bright, simple yet stylishly furnished rooms with their own veranda, spacious beds and good-quality mattresses, lovely bed linen, large mosquito nets and spacious wardrobes.

• Two of the seven accommodation units are suitable as family rooms – they consist of two separate rooms with a connecting door and a shared bathroom.

• Spacious en-suite bathrooms.

• Wi-Fi & Communication: Free Wi-Fi is available in the library and in all guest rooms. You will have good mobile phone reception on the premises.

• Room service: Rooms are cleaned and tidied every morning. A coffee and tea service is available on your veranda.

• Laundry service: A free laundry service is included. Dirty laundry can be collected in a wicker basket in the bathroom and placed outside your room door in the morning; the next day, you will receive your laundry back, washed but not ironed.

• Security: Valuables can be safely stored in the safe in your room.

• Library & Info-Lab: A cosy library with non-fiction books, novels and academic publications from Kuzikus, as well as an Info-Lab, invite you to linger and find out more.

• Child-friendly: Kuzikus is a paradise for children, with a courtyard full of dogs, cats and chickens, as well as a playground.

• Vintage car fleet: A treat for any car enthusiast. Our fleet of well-maintained vintage Land Rovers, Land Cruisers and Unimogs is unique in Namibia. For safari trips in the reserve, we rely on the classic ‘Out of Africa’ vintage cars.

• Winter months: Hot water bottles are provided in the rooms for the cooler months (June, July, August).

• Electricity: Sockets are 220 V; adaptors are available in every room.

• Exclusivity: We aim to cater to your interests and guarantee you exclusive attention and a relaxed atmosphere. We accommodate no more than 15 guests at any one time, which creates a very personal, family-like atmosphere.

• Award: Kuzikus has been awarded a maximum of 3 stars by the Namibian Hotel Authority.

• Conferences & seminars: Small-scale conferences and seminars (up to 12 guests) are very welcome.

Living, learning and researching in the wilderness

For our dedicated students, researchers and volunteers, we offer a unique form of accommodation that combines life in the wilderness with the demands of research.

• The Research Camp, approximately 1.5 km from the FarmLodge, is a fully equipped tented camp and serves as a base for our students, researchers and volunteers.

• Meals for volunteers/students: Volunteers stay here in family tents at the Research Camp and are provided with full board: breakfast at the camp and other meals at the Lodge.

• Ideal environment: It is a vibrant learning environment where you work directly within the ecosystem and have a real impact on nature conservation.
