Purpose-built facilities for ambitious astrophotography

A secluded location, dark skies and calm conditions: since June 2026, Kuzikus has offered purpose-built facilities for deep-sky and landscape astrophotography, without stray light, in the heart of the Kalahari.

Why choose Kuzikus for astrophotography?

Purpose-built astrophotography facilities: Seven permanent platforms with electricity, Ethernet and Wi-Fi, complemented by equipment hire for those who prefer not to bring all their own kit.
A dedicated astronomy workroom With a workbench, lockable storage and its own Wi-Fi network.
Dedicated “Rhino Lab” astronomy room With a workbench, lockable storage and dedicated astronomy Wi-Fi.
Short distances on site – No long walk to your room or the astronomy room after a night under the stars.
Independent recognition: Astrophotographer Mehmet Ergün runs his own workshops right here on the reserve.
