Discover Namibia with all your senses, from a place of tranquillity
With just 7 lodge rooms, Kuzikus deliberately stays small: a maximum of 15 guests at a time, with a 3-star rating from Namibia’s hotel authority. This tranquillity is your starting point. Arrive, unwind and explore the Kalahari in depth, guided by a host family who are scientists themselves.
Berend and Dr Friedrich Reinhard, both biologists trained in Edinburgh, run Kuzikus as a UN-recognised protected area that is currently working towards an even higher level of UN certification.
From our signature Black Rhino Tracking excursion (€125) and excursions with biologists (botany, ornithology and wildlife management, €75 each) to game drives (from €40), walking safaris and day trips to Sossusvlei or a neighbouring farm, you will find the full overview and all prices on the experiences page.
The seven lodge rooms are available from €145 per person per night, with rates varying by length of stay, including full board, Kuzikus spring water, Wi-Fi and use of the pool and sauna. Alternatively, stay at the Kalahari bush camp, with three comfortable tented houses around 1.5 km from the lodge. The full room and price overview is on Offers & Rates.
Travelling with family, a partner or friends with different interests? Kuzikus has something for everyone, from horse riding and photography safaris to birdwatching. Find out more on the pages for each interest.
During Namibian and international school holidays, families with children also stay with us. With seven lodge rooms, the separate Kalahari bush camp and extensive grounds, Kuzikus gives every guest space of their own. Whether you are enjoying a quiet sundowner as a couple or exploring the Kalahari as a family, a maximum of 15 guests at a time means there is plenty of room for everyone to feel at home.
